I had no idea these trackballs were so sought after by gamers, due to the fact they have 5 buttons (most modern trackballs have 3, apparently).

I don't know if this is particular to this one, or a common feature of either all optical trackballs, but curiously this one was not good for Marble Madness. I never was able to really go very fast with it, I think it won't recognize sustained rotation over a certain speed so the max speed I could get on the marble was insufficient for several jumps! It was good for the "fine-tuning" movements, but that isn't enough for some levels (and you won't save precious seconds on the levels you can complete).
The Macally Trakball is quick, posted in the first page.

I picked up the MX 518 Logitech after Hobie recommended it. It's a very solid mouse. The dedicated right hand design takes some getting used to, but that's only because I'm used to holding ambidextrous style mice. The sensitivity levels are just right and the adjustment buttons are in a good location to allow for switching on the fly.

Drivers are also not required to switch between sensitivity modes. This is a huge plus for those 2 and 1/2 people that use a mouse in the handful of PS3 and PS2 games with KB&M support.

I just got some money and decided I can justify spending at most 50 euro with shipping included.

So, I have two shops that I trust, their mouse selection can be seen there:

http://www.pccomponentes.com/ratones-3.html

Of the mice you mentioned, I'm suprised to see the DeathAdder for 51 euro, a bit more including shipping but I would be willing to pay for it.

I can't get a RAT 9 but I can get a RAT 5. They also have Microsoft's Sidewinder X5

The RAT looks so weird
