Snagged a sega dreamcast, two controllers, two vmus, a sealed copy of blitz 2000 and ready to rumble boxing. I opened the console and there was a scratch free toy commander disc inside.

I also picked up sonic 2, star trek, and eternal champions all in mint condition.

All totaled I paid 50 bucks.

Gotta love goodwill.

Got my Christmas gifts today. A bit early, but work schedules sucked for my parents. I have to say I'm damn lucky.

Three shirts
A jacket
Three Bob Dylan CD's
Battlefield: Bad Company (GH PS3)
Assassin's Creed 2 (PS3)
Donkey Kong Country Returns (Wii)
Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days (DS)
PowerGig: Rise of the Six String (PS3)
Rock Band 3 with Keyboard Controller (PS3)
$50 PSN Card
3 Months of xBox Live (need the adapter)
A Year Sub to Game Informer
And an xBox Kinect with Kinect Adventures, which shockingly isn't that bad.

Merry Christmas to me. =D
Collects promo gaming stuff, certain import games, hockey memorabilia, and other oddball things. (sig and avy under construction)

Jeez. That's a lot of video game stuff to receive for Christmas. You from a wealthy family?

I wouldn't really say that, my mother has made a lot of sacrifices that I try not to take for granted. She always tries to supply the best for me even though she doesn't have to. Hell, the Kinect wasn't even on my radar. But she is very good to me and I am thankful for what I have. :)

That's really nice.

I remember Christmas 1995, I led my parents into an "Electronics Boutique" store where I showed them the Sega Saturn and told them how badly I wanted it and how much I loved Virtua Fighter - the popular arcade game that came with it. Eventually they started to become interested and asked the store employee "Ok. How much is that?" But when the man told them $399 they just about crapped their pants and looked at me "Are you kidding? There's no way in hell we're going to buy that for you for Christmas. You're nuts!" and started walking towards the door. But at 15, I was no longer a pushover. I then begged, pleaded, made promises that it would be the last video game system that they will ever have to buy me... until they eventually caved. They said they'd buy it for me but it was going to be the only thing that I'd get for Christmas, and that I couldn't open it until Christmas Day. Boy, it was a tough sell. But I still remember that day like it was yesterday. My parents had to make other sacrifices that Christmas, too - so that I could play my Virtua Fighter. But I'm still very thankful that they did that for me, and I will always keep the original box and that same Saturn (even though it no longer works) to remind me of that Christmas. :)
