Another thing that will help with leveling up is getting XP from Weapon Proficiencies and Combat Abilities. As far as Combat Abilities go, some you have little to no control over, they'll happen when they happen (like final bullet or account open, or final kill). Others are up to you to get, but can end up getting you in trouble. Like killing enemies blinded by flash bangs. I tried doing this, and ended up getting killed more because I was concentrating too much on the flash bang.

Weapon Proficiencies are easy to get if you rotate your weapons. I discovered this too late, so there's some guns that I just can't use now (they're too weak). Best if you get the XP from weapons as you get them. I tried going back to the AK-47 and it's just a horrible gun, using the original Sigmus wasn't as bad though. So it's best if you complete the Weapon Proficiencies early on, as you get the weapons.

I'll force myself to use a shotgun on the Archives level, but that's the only level I'll use one on. I'll also try and use a sniper rifle for the first few minutes on the Jungle map. And sometimes, on any map, I'll pick up a sniper rifle that some one dropped just to pick off some one I see in the distance then switch back to the gun I was using.

Another thing I'll do is switch to my pistol when I can. When I'm sneaking up behind some one, instead of just using a melee attack, I'll switch to my pistol so I can get the kill with that gun. Just be careful, doing this to some one on a higher level (with Bio Booster and Reactive Armor) can be some trouble. Also, playing Golden Gun mode and getting kills with the Golden Gun will get you XP.

Or pick up weapons that aren't yet available to you from people you killed. Or when you play as a Hero, you get a much better weapon. And if you kill a hero, or are around one that dies, definitely pick up their dropped weapon.

They're worth doing to get the XP from.

edit: Just got the Vargen submachine gun! I haven't tried it yet, but I set it to one of my custom loadouts. I'll definitely try it out when we play tonight.

I'll get on in a little bit  As for sharing buttons, holding z while pressing certain buttons will do an alternate command. Ex. B is reload but holding z and pressing B again is reload. Only a few buttons support this function, the others are A and Y.
