We have cookies as well as biscuits. Cookies are those doughy disc shapes, usually have chocolate chips etc. Biscuits are what you use for dipping in tea. Don't even get me started on what you guys call biscuits never mind the fact that you have them with gravy.

Crumpets are basically bread. It's made from flour and yeast. I guess they're similar to your pancakes. We have them with butter/jam/cheese. They're awesome because of all the holes, the crumpet 'fills up' with butter and is delicious.

Indeed, crumpets are the shit. Kind of pancakey with the the form factor and holes of an english muffin migrated to the top and broken through.

Cool, thanks for informing me there. I honestly always thought that biscuits vs. cookies were the same sort of swap as chips vs. fries. I had no idea there was a distinction.

Biscuits and gravy is definitely a southern thing, you won't find them in many parts of the country going by what restaurants serve. But don't knock it 'till you try it! It really is better than it sounds.

Also, crumpets sound delicious.

I do love English Muffins, but I have no idea if they're actually English or if its just the name.

I need to get up to England one day. I've got a cousin living somewhere in London. Its probably about time I got to harassing her, heh heh.

I love English muffins. Again, they're a bread type product. Made from yeast, water and flour. I love them just on their own, but even more with some Jam or cheese. I also like 'American' muffins especially double chocolate chip muffins or caramel and blueberry. YUM!
