Pretty sure there was another 'blaster master' game for GBC called blaster master boy or something. It wasnt actually originally a blaster master game though, so it plays really differently.

Sorry, missed that post.

On topic, I can't think of a single game I played this year that I'd call a disappointment. It's been a pretty good year imo.

Quantum Theory - was billed as a decent Gears of War clone but according to popular review it ended up being more of a Superman 64 clone

PlayStation Move - launched without any must-have titles. And here we are just before Christmas with still nothing. It seems like everyone's waiting to see how well it will work with Killzone 3 before they make any final judgments. But I'm sure many will still prefer to use their Dualshock or whichever controller they prefer for fps now. Especially for online play where timing/lag can be an issue.

Microsoft Kinect - while reportedly selling better than Move with a few more interesting titles available before Christmas. A lot of the more interesting and/or appealing features seen in the initial E3 '09 unveiling are still absent, most notably the "item scanning" and the "Milo" interaction tech-demo. Also, the room size requirement for Kinect seemed to have been an issue for many gamers and others alike in 2010. For others, the price was also an issue.
"Welcome to the circus of values!"

Currently Playing: Crysis (360), Destiny demo (PS3), Roadblasters (MAME)

Battlefield Bad Company 2. As a fan of the WW2 games (and Vietnam) I wasn't thrilled by this game. Not bad, in fact I think it's a really good game for most people, but not for me since I prefer the lower tech WW2 guns and weapons, since they tend to make multiplayer games more fun.

Assasin's Creed Brotherhood. I loved Assasin's Creed 2. I even got the platinum trophy (that's the 4th game I ever bothered with trophies). But Brotherhood? Not enough original content, the story felt to really drag out, we barely learned anything new about the game's world and I'm not a multiplayer on consoles fan.

Little Big Planet 2 Beta community levels. I was lucky enough to win a beta code for LBP2. The Mm stages are phenomenal and I can't wait to get the full game and play their levels. The editor was way too complex for my taste, but that might have been fixed since then. What I didn't like was the stages the fans made. Just cause you can make clones of popular games doesn't make your levels fun. There is a recreation of Wolfenstien and FFS I got a headache playing it for 1 minutes.

3rd party Wii exclusives not remaining exclusive. I love the Wii. I really want to see it succeed. I don't think there is a drought of games for it. I do think there is a drought of popular right now games (online multiplayer FPS games). I think publishers still haven't really tried on the Wii. So when I see high profile releases being announced as exclusives and 1 month before release they reveal a better HD version on its way I wonder if they just hate the Wii, or can't understand that this will probably kill the Wii version's sales, since most gamers own a Wii + 1 HD console, and let's face it. Developers suck at taking advantage of the Wii's interface, so the HD consoles get the better versions of multiplatform games (with the exception of No More Heroes of course. How the fuck will that game work without motion controls?)

Still no good MMO game which doesn't require a huge time investment on your part. I love consistent worlds. I HATE how FREAKING BADLY DESIGNED they are. I'm tired of lazy developers (and by that I mean the hugely successful ones who actually have the money to make their games much bigger and much better) relying on tired old gameplay tricks to lengthen game time. I'm tired of grindfests. Anyone here ever played WoW during the Burning Crusade? OMFG. And the only reason I don't still play WoW is that I couldn't take the 2 month breaks I like to from time to time and still be competitive in PvP when I come back. So every time a new MMO comes out, I go and try it out only to be disappointed by how like WoW it is, only not really as good, and of course all of them turn to grinding for gameplay.

MMO games should be huge living breathing worlds. And what are they? They are theme parks. Giant Disney Lands on the internet. It's fine to go there once in a while, but if you are going there everyday you demand better and newer stuff to do. Yet MMOs are worlds frozen in time, not influenced by its players and demanding huge time sinks from them to let them have fun.

I hope 2011 finally gives me an MMO that is different.

Opinions I have seen say it's not good. I'll pick it up if I see it dirt cheap, but otherwise I'm believing what I've read in several places.
