Re: Video Game "Finds of the Day"
I went to a local game store the other day and got a bunch of PlayStation demo discs for free.
When I saw them behind the counter and inquired about them, they said that they had been there awhile and weren't allowed to sell them, but that I could have them for free if I wanted them. And since I love collecting for the PS1 and PS2, I was very happy.
It was also kinda nice because there were a bunch of games on them that I've been wanting to try before I shelled any money out for them.

The two bottom discs on the left are Ape Escape and Pizza Hut Disc 1 sampler. It is my understanding that there were 3 Pizza Hut discs made. Disc 2 is also in the pic above Disc 1. It still has the cd sleeve which is nice. So now I just need disc 3? *And maybe the disc 1 sleeve*

The PlayStation Underground discs. These all have two discs to them. One disc has game videos and random stuff while the other disc has the game demos. I really like the look of these sets. Will have to look for more of these in the future. Very cool

I miss these! They were nice to get and explore.. Reminds me of when music labels would release $3-$5 comp cds with 20-some bands on it - You get a taste of something new. PS Underground was kind of the same thing, never knowing if you're next favorite was on one of these discs...Weekend_Warrior wrote: The PlayStation Underground discs. Seeing these makes me realize how much I hate the stores in my area. Phoenix games is decent, but there are so many better spots around the US.Rurouni_Fencer wrote:I miss these! Re: Video Game "Finds of the Day"
Went to Gamestop yesterday looking for a present for my sister who just got a Wii.
Picked up a PS2 DVD remote since I have it set up in my bedroom now - $2.99
Halo magnet set for my fridge - $0.99
Boktai 2: Solar Boy Django - $3.99
Elebits, for my sister - $4.99 - the funny thing is that It's advertised at $9.99 (pre-owned) in their new flyer. The sales clerk laughed at that one.
Less my 10% discount and double points since its my birthday month and I think I did well.

Re: Video Game "Finds of the Day"

Yellow model 1 SNES with daughterboard. Apparently it produces better sound. Power din has been broken off, but pins are still there and it works with the ac adapter. Funny.
Plans on retrobrighting it.
Only payed $5 for it. Found at good will with no av connectors or ac adapter.
