Plenty of great games for the Sega CD. Sonic CD, Final Fight, Earthworm Jim, Sega Classics, NHL '94, etc.

Name me three decent games for the 3D0.
Happily -
Gex
Road Rash
Need For Speed
Wing Commander 3
Luciennes Quest
Starblade
Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo
Samurai Shodown
Star Control 2
Return Fire
Powers Kingdom
Trip'd
D
Cannon Fodder
Alone in the Dark
Puzzle Bobble
Lemmings
Incredible Machine

Will that do? :) (Also, I know thats more than 3 games)

Some pretty good games there! I own Gex, which is pretty good. Had no idea Lemmings, D, Alone in the dark, or WC 3 were on the 3DO.

I'm going to youtube Road Rash for 3DO too. Thanks!

Now remove the games that aren't exclusives (usually with better ports elsewhere). What's left?

Of the systems I've owned, the 3DO also gets my vote for least favorite. In fact, it is the only one that I've acquired and then parted with since getting more involved with retro-gaming a few years back...

Its basically the best version of road rash, its brilliant. I'd also recommend the street fighter and samurai showdown games, which are some of the best versions available, despite some loading times. Pretty sure Super Street Fighter 2 turbo was the only version of that game available at the time.

Fair enough, I dont dispute that. I just think the 3DO gets some unfair stick as a complete failure with no good games. I always found its library to be small but decent (if you avoid FMV stuff) and I love the controller of the Panasonic models - one of my favourites to use. Its certainly better than some of the stuff it gets compared to like the Jaguar or CDi.

EDIT: Sorry, meant to to edit this into the other post. Sorry for double posting.

What makes it better than the PS1 version?

I'll give it SSF2 Turbo in its day, although there are now much better versions of that game.

Also, I am pretty sure the Neo Geo version of SS is better.

I really don't consider this unfair. If it had more exclusives that were worth a hoot, then I'd have kept mine. Even if the overall library might have some good games, almost every single one of them are done better elsewhere. Heck, even the Jaguar has Tempest 2000, AvP, and a great port of Raiden. Other than Star Control 2 (which wasn't my cup of tea and has been done better on the PC now), I didn't see any exclusives on the 3DO to hold my attention.

Assuming you still have yours, it's really worth digging for the gems on it. Trust me when I say that many of the best titles on that console weren't at all the ones that were the most hyped.

Also Sega CD has Popful Mail. That's enough for me.

SuperAnthony64 wrote: Ruby gen was not the worst gen. Pearl and Diamond were horrible. Fire Emblem games rule. FF remakes and tactics are great. Metroid fusion and all the Castlevanias are awesome. GBA was probably one of the best GameBoy's. I know this is going to be an opinion thread so...

For my least favorite console wold have to be Xbox 360.
-Have to pay to play the game you just bought for online multiplayer
-Died on me and the tray gets stuck everytime
-Lack of exclusives dont like Halo very overrated shooter. Gears, Mass Effect, Left 4 Dead are on PC and valve doesnt charge for DLC for L4D
-Hate the D pad
I agree with everything this man said. The metroids and castlevanias on gba rocked. The Zelda game wasnt bad, either.

The 360 has a ton of good games but, like the man above pointed out, it has its shortcomings in pay-to-play online and red-rings for the past 4 years up until the new re-release and those good games do nothing for me to disregard that. As a collector, I always think that, when i buy a game, I want to be able to play them for the rest of my life. Until the redesigned 360 came out, that just wasnt a possibility. With the red-rings being such a big problem and Microsoft's behavior of dropping console support the second their new system comes out, in 5 years or less, youd end up with thousands of dollars worth of games and no console to play them on. Up until the redesign came out, I was boycotting the 360 because of that alone. It really burns too because the console has the potential to be the best console ever made, but due to shitty buisness-oriented decisions, it just isnt. There's no reason, with all the ads on 360 that they couldnt make it free or, at the least, price drop it but no, now theyre UPPING the price. Way to know how hard you can rape your supporters, Microsoft.

As for the system that I think was the most pathetic, I choose 3DO. Great console, no games. Super Street Fighter II Turbo stands alone as the only game worth getting that wasnt on any other consoles at the time.
Systems: ATARI 2600 - NES - FAMICOM - SNES - N64 - GC - WII - GENESIS - SEGACD - SATURN - DREAMCAST - PSX - PS2 - PS3 - XBOX - XBOX 360 - GB - GBC - GBA - DS - PSP - NEOGEOPOCKET

NES - To this day I still don't quite grasp what all the love for that console is all about.
