Other Way To Buy Microsoft Points?

Post by darthmunky »

Are there any other ways to get Microsoft points other than using a credit card or going out and buying a points card? I want to get some right now but I don't own a credit card. Basically, can I use my debit card or PayPal?

The best option for your scenario would probably be an eBay purchase.

Otherwise, I'd just do a Google products search for PayPal accepting merchants.

Ebay could work, just make sure you are buying from a seller with excellent feedback so that the card is activated when it arrives at your door.

What do you mean? I use my debit card in Marketplace and it works just fine. You don't have to use a credit card exclusively on XBox Marketplace...

Xbox LIVE accepts all debit cards? When I try to buy points via my Xbox, it asks for Visa, Mastercard, or American Express.

Here in the US debit cards are generally visa or mastercard. If yours isn't it probably won't work.

My friend has a permanent student discount at HMV (they stopped having student discount several years ago but forgot to remove his) so I buy my points through him at just under £15 for 2100.
