I do this with games that even have great soundtracks. For some reason I'll still play Super Castlevania IV while listening to Orb Live '93.

I almost always mute Death Duel on the Genesis. Awful music.

Tail's voice, god it so fucking annoying. At least I've heard that it is tolerable in Sonic colors.

I'd mute that entire game.

Well... I'd just rather play something good. :)
And am I the only one who got tired of hearing "What do you remember about that day" and "How about a game of lucky hit"?

Huh. I've owned FFX since it came out but never played it. I recently downloaded a "dub" where someone replaced the English voices with the original ones but kept the game in English text. Might be worth a look (whenever I have time for an RPG again).

It baffles me that they still haven't figured out how to just make a sample stop playing if it has already played a certain amount of times. How many times do I have to hear my character say "TAKE THAT!" or hear gex talk about boy george's pants?

I just got into Dynasty Warriors 5: Extreme on the PS2 and while I'm having tons of fun with the empire mode, the voice samples start to grate on me by the hundredth time I've heard my character brag about defeating an officer.

It also doesn't help that some of the voices sound like they're just teenagers still struggling with the onset of puberty.
