How do I save after playing?

I would like to find out something. I'm using a mac. When I use Yabause, when I save a game, where does the save file go? In the first place, what do I do on the preferences section, assuming I have to configure something? ASAP

Save the game and the do a search for all files using quickfind or the search panel on finder for the recent most file created. If there is no file created. Double check that the folder the app is in/saving to that there is permission to write, not just read only.

Without using the program thats all the help I can offer.

Alright, assuming it's that way, usually, what type of file is it under? .txt? or some other extension type?
