Mute button moments

Post by Gamerforlife »

You ever have those moments where you are so annoyed by what you're hearing in a game you actually hit the mute button on your remote control. You hear some god awful voice acting, or you simply get tired of hearing some idiot NPC repeat the same thing over and over again

I'm playing Castlevania:Lords of Shadow, which is a pretty cool game, but I just hit the mute button after listening to some air head repeat, "remember, you still need two more crystal shards" for like the fiftieth time. I really wish I could go into my tv screen and punch her in the face. So yeah, playing through this stage as I type this with the sound muted. She's actually THAT annoying

What are your mute button moments?

call of duty or gears of war online, I mute players instead of the game but I consider it the same case because of how they test my nerves

The intro to Ballz 3D. No, I take that back, I leave the TV on mute for the entirety of Ballz 3D. Seriously, the audio in that game is just atrocious.

Madworld comes to mind. i don't think anyone praises it as a great game, I dug it for a rental... but had to mute the music a few minutes in and play something more to my tastes.

Shining Force is an even better game when you turn down the annoying looping battle music and play some Dragonforce instead.

And of course, miked up idiots on Live that repeatedly utter incomprehensible noises.

I seriously want to throw my TV out the window when I'm playing OoT sometimes. I HATE Navi. I want it to die. To be mutilated by saws from Super Meat Boy. To be swallowed by Big the Cat. I don't care. LEAVE ME ALONE.

I hated the voice acting in eternal sonata. Everyone was just way too whiny in that game.

Not so much these days. Back in the 16-bit days I'd occasionally mute the game I was playing and then put on a CD. Even to this day, certain music/CDs bring back memories of playing certain games. :)
 (FC, AVFC, NES, SFC x2, SNES, N64, GC x2, Wii x2)*(G&W x7, GB, GBpocket, GBASP, DS-L x2)
(GEN, SS x3, DC x3)*(PCE-Duo)*(Xbox:500GB)*(NGCDZ, NGPC)*(PS1, PStwo, PS3:160GB, PSP.3K)
