Keep it sealed, and play a ROM on an emulator. I do this with many games, and I consider it "Having my cake and eating it, too."
Or you could just sell it sealed and buy it opened, as others have suggested, if you absolutely must play it on original hardware.

Another vote for leaving it sealed. On the one hand keeping it sealed and on your shelf and emulating it is cool, selling it to someone else so you can buy and hold a loose copy in your hand and play it is cool too.
If looking for a loose copy, it was called Ninja Cop in Europe.
