Air-Brush Recommendations?

Post by scarper »

Sounds like an awkward question for a retro gaming site, but bear with me here, there's slight sense in this.

I've always been into 3-D models, and repainting various stuffs. For the most part, it's been claymation, sculpting 3-D models, and repainting plastic things with Testors paint. The reason why I ask here for good air brush brands is because I know a few of you are really big into repainting consoles.

Well the systems in the post you linked were painted with plain old spray cans. of course that wouldn't work too well for models. I spent awhile looking into airbrushes but never got one because off the price.
Anyway this is what I recall. Badger makes a bunch that are pretty common at hobby spa, and are (big surprise!) Aimed as hobbyists. For artists it seemed like Iwata was just about the only brand. They make guns that are capable of extremely fine detail, but they also cost accordingly.
