Looks like the best new-retro hardware yet, especially with the s-vid out.

I'll stick with the originals, however.

Neat, I would not mind getting myself one of those, although I have both the NES and the SNES, but I buy it and see if I can hook it up to my car, although I don't have the TV for it...whatever, I'm just going to try it out and see what happens.

i actually picked one up and have been using it for the past 3 days. It actually runs Castlevania 3 for the NES, which the NEX messiah and fc twin dont. I actually own all 3 now, and honestly the retro duo looks the best when i put it next to my other systems (xbox 360, white ps3, and the wii) .. obviously i picked up the glossy white one. its very compact and has a nice glossy finish.

Im not sure if they fixed it or not yet , but the fc twin i purchased wont work with any other controller except the ones it came with. the Retro duo however, does work with my snes joystick, and original snes controller.

in my opinion, its risky seeing that you dont really know which version of the fc twin youll end up with, but with this retro duo, at least you know youre covered. plus they seem to be going for the same price.

Faxanadu, how does the video and audio output quality compare to previous NOAC clones and to a real, original model NES?

Marurun: Actually the color and the quality looks real good, to be honest. I dont remember how they look like when i played them
on my snes and nes original consoles, but if there were any differences im sure i'd notice, but i didnt.

with that said, im very happy with the accuracy of the picture display.

audio is perfect, no signs of anything different.

and as i stated before, i REALLY like the look of the system.. pictures dont quite do it justice.
the fc twin i have right now, looks like those to-go boxes you get when you eat out at restaurants haha.

snowkitty: its wierd cuz on my FC twin, my copy of starfox did NOT work, but the same copy WORKED on the Retro Duo.

i think theres alot of different boards they use mixed in their batches causing this inconsistency.. i feel a bit ripped off buying my FC twin now hehe.

yeah, the FC twin is VERY inconsistent. i had an older revision that had horrid composite output and only the controllers that came with it worked in nes mode. then i got a later revision that worked fine but still didnt play SA-1 games. they both pplayed starfox and on the later revi had there are jumper pads for 50/60hz :P easy region mod!
