putting them away will be a big mistake in any way!

there are so many great games on both platforms, everytime you think you're done you'll discover new gems

Team Buddies did have a NTSC release, quite rare but not impossible to find

It depends who you are to be honest I have a lot less time to play games.
So I end up hoarding the games instead of playing them.
It's not problem for me to just unpack them if I want to play something but since moving my 360 into my room I'm playing the PS2 a lot less.

Main thing is you can't play everything all at once and then it's just a waste being there because it doesn't get used and takes up space.
When I was a kid I wasn't even allowed to keep a console out it out I had to packed away after use.
Only had 2 consoles 1 Super Nes and 1 Gameboy and just a handful of games.
Also only one Tv to play them on.

Anyways from my point of view I think I lost the plot hoarding / collecting games instead of playing them which is supposed to be what they are for.
It's got to the extent that a lot of the games in my collections are just compilations of other games I was fond of back when I actually used to play a lot of games.
I don't really think I've played and completed a lot of games not since the Sega Saturn / PS1 days.
The funny thing being even the games I do actually play today are still the old ones I used to play. Like Street Fighter 2, Street Fighter Alpha, Mario Bros, and Zelda.

Bottom line is that it's time to move on and get back to basics or at least that's how I see it =)

everyone his own style offcourse basicly my PS2 is still standing strong because my PS3 isn't backwards compatible.. but i'll never ever get rid of the console or the games, maybe just not have it connected to my tv

I know what you saying I don't sell my games unless they really shit and the PS2 itself is special it is modified so that it'll play backups and any region DVD's and any region PS2 games / PS1 games.

On occasion when I buy a game it says that its in perfect condition but for some reason it doesn't play properly but its one of them refurbished discs.
So I test a backup of the game to test and if it plays fine then I know its not my PS2 it's the disc they sent me.
Plus I like to keep my original discs in good condition so I'll play the throw away backup version instead.
Plus its good for fan translations

I'm sure I'll come back to the PS2 but something has to go I might just pack away only the games and play backups of them instead.
I dunno but the lack of room thing is buggin me

Just a warning, playing Persona 4 will make you never want to even THINK about packing up your PS2, ever. I'm shocked you considered doing it even without playing the game.

i'm a fan of J-RPG's but during persona 4 i got really burned out for some reason.. i played about 7 hours, then dropped it and never went back
i think it was during the 2nd rescue.. kept dying for stupid reasons

I have bought a stack of games for PS2 off eBay as they are so cheap now! Three that I have found to have breathed fresh life into my PS2 slim are Beyond Good & Evil, Outrun 2 and Metal Slug 3. I would also suggest Timesplitters 2, that game is timeless (no pun intended)

I've always loved Ghost In The Shell on the PS1 -- smooth controls, sweet arcade vibe, thumpin' music, and funny cutscenes! Glad I've held onto it all these years
