i agree with Flak, it's largely overrated - but ultimately still one of the more memorable Sonic titles in recent years
Sonic Adventure on DC had impact primarily due to being a launch title containing Sega's flagship mascot, and probably the first more fully-fledged 3D Sonic game
the actual gameplay was imo an awkward mix of short inspired moments of old school Sonic speed, otherwise clunky level design, terrible cut scenes/story/npc interaction and intermittent camera weirdness

Re: Sonic Adventure on XBox Live Arcade!
I have the original on DC, though due to breaking my controller I haven't gotten to play yet. I downloaded the trial version on XBLA recently and, having no expectations going in, I have to say I really enjoyed playing through that first level. It looks like it's a pretty solid port, but not having played it before I could be completely wrong.

The first level is pretty much the best part. It's all downhill from there my good friend. Just stick to the DC version. It's cheaper to get a new pad than it is to waste money on the 360 port.
Does the 360 version even have Chao?

This game is worth it just for Chao. It's sad to say but I spent like a billion hours just on chaos.
