Mostly blatant clone characters in fighting games that are meant to do nothing other than boost the character count with minimal effort. The possibility that Akuma will be in MvC3 disappoints me, the reveal that Evil Ryu and Shin Akuma would be in the next SF4 infuriates me considering all the great characters that haven't been added to SF4 yet (I won't pick up another SF until I see Rolento and Elena - unless they pull off something really amazing)... ya know, shit like that.

I also hate blatantly overpowered or underpowered characters in fighting games - especially overpowered ones, though. In MvC2, for instance - Dan, Roll and Servbot were just wasted slots. Magneto, Sentinel and Storm made every other character a wasted slot. It just ruins an experience.

Mortal Kombat characters - all of them... least favorite series ever
Shenmue characters - just didn't care for them
Bo Jackson - Tecmo Bowl, only when playing against him
