Digging that setup! Nice and neat, well organized. I need to work on that a bit more for my games.

How about a letter organizer. I got 3 of these when the salon next to my work closed down. You can see the front label on all your games. No stickers to buy and meticulously peel. I still need to set up my game room in my house (I don't think you can see the wholes for screw in the picture.

That's freakin rad! That's like exactly what I was hoping to find something like. But how easy would something like that be for someone who doesn't have connections to a closing salon to find? I haven't found something much like that on ebay so far.

That's around 34 cents each actually. It's not really all that unreasonable when you think about it.

I was inspired by this thread to make my own N64 labels. I was one of those silly teenagers that felt the need to use horrible nearly unremovable tape to put ugly labels on my carts. To remove the old tape, I had to use a combination of citrus-based Goo-Gone and 99% Isopropyl Alcohol. After peeling off the tape, I applied the Goo-Gone and let it soak for a few minutes. After it soaked I soaked a rag with some alcohol and applied some elbow grease. It took quite a bit of work to get the fossilized tape goo of off some of the carts.

To make the labels I just spent $10 on a pack of full sheet packing labels. I made a template in Photoshop for the labels and used a combination of random boxart and logos from Google and thecoverproject.net. Some of my custom labels I like more than the labels from the boxart. I printed them out on a single page packing label and cut them out with a paper cutter and scissors.

Here's a before and after pic. The next step is getting new media shelves to present all of my game collection better!

I have the original boxes for most my n64 games, but I had an idea for a staircase type display for my gameboy games. It would conserve space but show 75% of the label. Something like this:

Very nice custom labels! I am going thru my N64 carts myself at the moment. Printed some labels up on regular paper. Using double sided tape for the bottom and Transparent Glossy (not magic) tape for the top as a laminate. Both tapes are placed oversized on the printed label, then everything is cut to size at once for a clean look before sticking. A very time consuming job, too much gaming and blogging distracting me to complete.

I'll stick with the shelves I built, shown on the previous page.

A different approach, a great way to show the front labels. I think you might have a domino affect when you pull a cart, especially if one in the back. Maybe a half height thin clear plastic edging to keep the carts in check? Something like the city magazine stands.

Damn, clear tape as custom "laminate" is a great idea, wish I had thought of that before I applied mine. Post yours when you finish, I'm curious to see how they turn out.
