Broken Saturn disc?
Broken Saturn disc?
So for my birthday my mother got me Darius Gaiden and Clockwork Knights for the Saturn. But as soon as I opened the case to Darius Gaiden I noticed the large fracture in the disc stemming from the center hole to about a quarter of the way toward the outside edge of the disc, yet the game had no problem playing and I was able to get to level H without noticing any problems. So my question is should I worry about getting another copy and complaining to eBay seller? Or should I be ok, if there is anyway to tell. And another issue was Clockwork Knights was dirty but after a cleaning it was flawless, not a scratch on it. Yet my Saturn boots straight to the music CD screen and will not play it, any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Definitely complain about that disc. Even if it plays fine now, that fracture is eventually going to lead to disc rot.

I would. A cracked CD is a fucked CD.

Toss that disc, or put it on the wall, a reminder of case center holder damaging your disc. The Saturn read Head will get ruined, if the disc doesn't shatter first. Having to jump around trying to read the data.

Re: Broken Saturn disc?
You should send the game back since you paid for a functioning game they have to fix it
Re: Broken Saturn disc?
We sent them an email, we'll see how it goes. And for some reason Clockwork Knights just started working even though I did nothing differently today than last night, how odd.

Stupid PS2 case design, though I do like the memory card holder. The disc holder wouldn't let go after pushing down the center and pulling the disc in one motion. Now I push the center and let go, making sure the disc pops clear of the holder before removal. Same when replacing the disc, pressing the center all the way down. You can feel how thick those center tabs are with your fingernail.D.D.D. wrote:Hey CRT, how'd you do that? Never happened to me...

Is a disc salvage-able after getting one of these cracks? My bro's copy of CoD has suffered a similar fate, though the doesn't extend pass the center (where security bar code thingy is). The game used to boot up, but no luck now.CRTGAMER wrote:Stupid PS2 case design, though I do like the memory card holder.
