What was the last movie you've seen?
Re: What was the last movie you've seen?
So I heard Jon Favreau won't be directing Iron Man 3. Does anyone get the feeling that the success marvel studios has had is based entirely on luck? They seem to make a point to screw the people who helped them get to where they are. They also seem to have an obsession with grouping all their movies together into some sort of cohesive whole while at the same time not really giving a shit about continuity or the bigger picture. The crazy amount of hirings and firings within the "marvel cinematic universe" has been rediculous considering how few films they've actually put out.

Re: Troll 2?
You know I seem to enjoy some of Adam Sandler's shittier movies like Little Nicky and Mr Deeds for some reason. Every critical bone in my body knows they are shit, but I still get a kick out of themarion wrote:I saw it with rifftrax which was good but then again it's such a silly movie anyone can riff it
And i too have started to appreciate movies so bad that they get funny or in some cases awesome. Mediocre movies are the bane of movie watchers everywhere.

Inception.
Wow. It's like this generation's Matrix.

Sherlock Holmes: I liked it, a bit hard to follow out time because of the amount of words coming out of RDJ's mouth, but I still found it pretty entertaining. I think the three leads had a good chemistry and the mystery they had to solve was pretty clever. I can see how RDJ's borderline Asperger's Disease/superhuman thought capability annoyed people, but it didn't bother me much.
Scott Pilgrim vs. the World: I don't understand all the hate this movie gets. I watched it with a friend who has no grasp of video games and my wife who has a limited grasp of video games and they both loved it. Yes it was corny and farfetched at times, but it was a pretty great metaphor for the mental battles I experienced with a few girlfriends here and there - coming to terms with their pasts was like a battle many times, involving me rising up against that past and myself in order to gain back my confidence and learn from the experience. I think a lot of people go through this when first entering the dating world, eventually (hopefully) you realize that a person's past is in the past and whatever happened made them who they are. Funny is that this friend we watched it with just broke up with her bf for not being able to rise up against his own lack of confidence when confronted with our friend's past. He should watch this movie!

Scrooged. Loved it. And Carol Kane as the Ghost of Christmas Present FTW.

Spaceballs.
One of the few movies to not watch for any story at all, but just for shits and giggles.

I actually kinda wanna see more from the Inception universe. Maybe a video game?Gamerforlife wrote:Pretty much, except they're not going to mess it up with two pointless sequelsREPO Man wrote:Inception.

Cuz a video game would be awesome, cuz it could allow you to distort the reality of the dream.
