Splatterhouse Preorder Mask arrived today!

Got my Terror Mask in the mail today for preordering Splatterhouse.. I was amazed at what I saw when I opened it up!





(I swear, I didn't pose Mario that way for the pic - He's just as taken back as I was.)





The mask isn't some cheap plastic-made bust, like I had expected from a Gamestop promotion. It's made from what I can only describe as a plastered resin material. Not rock or granite, of course, but I imagine it would easily chip if I were to drop it..

Needless to say, I am very impressed with this! And going along with my previous comments on the game, (thread here: http://www.racketboy.com/forum/viewtopi ... =8&t=26649) I was extremely happy with this release!

not to change the subject, but where did that mario come from? i found one in a box of my old toys recently and wasnt sure where it came from.

I got an ACME birthday cake as a kid back in 1990 and that was on top. My girlfriend has the same exact one, but with black hair instead of brown.. Other than that, I couldn't tell you.. Somebody on the Nintendo Age could probably find out.. I'll check on it!

Well, at least something good came of such a disappointing looking game.

I've said it before - I know it looks like it's a sub par action game, (and I'll admit, it won't be winning any GotY awards any time soon.) But this game is just so much <Frog King> fun that I've been glued to it for weeks now! It's worth at least a good, thorough look!

The real question is whether it comes off the stand and fits on your head.

Unfortunately, even though my brain would fit inside this thing - my head is too big..
