Author slams pizza, son outs DiGiorno as non-delivery

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

so you insist piracy is a crime you should go to jail for?
I don't know but, its obvious that whatever punishments are in place don't seem to be doing much of anything.

And yes, if your going to go to the point of boasting over how many things you stole, then yes you deserve your come upence in whatever form that might be.

I also think thiers a sliding scale idea of how bad your act of piracy is.

Example.

Why steal ebooks? They are readily available, perhaps not cheap, but you can get them at a reasonable price. Baring that you could buy physical copies of books most of the time. books are by and large cheap, society doesn't put nearly the premium on them as other media. Text books are the only things i ever see at truely absorbiant prices, and honestly the secondary market keeps those in some semblance of reason.

Why pirate current gen games? If you want a copy of Halo 3 their a fair number of them to be had.

Now lets say you pirate Radiant Silvergun, barring its release on xbox live, or a game of that sort. Is it right? No, not really. But it is something that you cannot just go buy at a reasonable price. If you pay for it on ebay the publisher and developers aren't going to see a dime of it, and its from a system thats been dead for over a decade. Its not right technically, but its not nearly as bad as pirating current games.

Now take the handbag from the article. If you buy the knock-off handbag does that take money from the real company? I don't know, but if your paying 5 dollars in china town for a "Prehda" then i guess you get what you pay for.

I don't think bragging about it makes it a worse crime  . I think it's only bragging about murder and rape that makes people angry.

Dude, jails around the world are full. The purpose of jail is to keep people who are dangerous to society locked away somewhere were they can't harm anyone. Rapists murderers and drug dealers fit that category. And the only thieves that could be considered dangerous are those who steal you at gunpoint, or enter an inhabited house.

Pay hefty fines? Yes. Do hours and hours of community service? Yes. But how putting someone in jail with actual criminals make him a better person? It won't. It'll scar him for life and probably turn him into a real criminal as well.

btw aaron feta goes well with olives :D

I don't know if I'll ever get that image out of my head. *shudders*
Ew! I think I just got the joke YoshiEgg25 is making here. Ew.
Gives a whole new meaning to Emeril's catchphrase, doesn't it?

I'm still trying to figure out how this thread went from E-Book piracy to a couple pages of the variety of Pizza. Now I'm hungry for a New York Pizzeria.

Well if we have to have the piracy debate, why not have pizza too.

I personally feel that our time has been spent in a more constructive manner discussing pizza. I've gotten more out of the pizza talk than any of our previous piracy "debates."
