Free movie streaming websites

Post by RCBH928 »

Maybe I am a little bit outdated
but I recently discovered there are many websites out there that will allow you to stream episodes and movies online for free and no signing up is required!

I know that this is illegal, but I was wonder who would do such a generous act to stream hundreds of movies and tv shows on their own budget? There are many websites too, not just 1 or 2, do they make money out of this?

I am just curious on how these things work, and what do they get out of it? Why would they position themselves in a criminal act? Just to provide people entertainment?

and while we are on topic,
I understand that some tv shows are televised for free , but they sell them for a price online, and its illegal to share?
I believe PBS sells their shows on iTunes, I think all their production is supposed to be for free as they live on donations?

Correct me if I am wrong

There are legal sites available as well such as Crackle and Fear.net. Crackle is owned and operated by the content owner.

yeah, I figured he was talking just about illegal ones, since he mentioned them being illegal. But yeah, Hulu, youtube, etc obviously legally make money through advertising for instance.

I wouldnt bother with the illegal sites.

They arent worth the potential hassle.

Also check the websites for networks thesmeslves as they often have a lot of stuff up.

For anime Anime New Network has a lot of stuff.

Outside the US we can't really watch anything officially. Modify Headers helps, though I still can't watch Hulu. At least I'm able to catch Stephen Colbert and Jon Stewart on their websites.

That is correct,
I even went to crackle.com and fear.net and both won't run because my "region" is not supported.
I am not even sure what Hulu exactly is.
My friend bought something off the NBA website, it is supposed to be like for international viewers to stream matches or something like that, even that he had an issue with it.

and I was talking about illegal ones, I really don't think they can afford all that bandwidth for simple ads, let us not forget who wants to put an ad in an illegal website?
unless it has to do with money laundry......

True. It especially irks me as I'm American and I usually am on American sites that link videos and "I'm sorry this video is not available in your region" bugs the hell outta me.
It really sucks to have to use a proxy server just to watch US content. That's why I usually torrent TV shows so I don't have to wait for streaming and deal with that crap. :(

Porn, penis enlargers, porn, cheap viagra, porn, online casinos, porn, shady dating services, use your imagination...

Plus, adspace is adspace, if you want your company's name out there, you're not going to be too terribly concerned with exactly where it is.
