I Love The GameBoy Advance!!!

Post by ThatGreenHorse »

Ok, so I'm in love with the GBA.

I've had my GBA for about 4 years now, but of course, the reason I got it was to play the Pokemon Games (I was stupid for only playing Pokemon). After beating Ruby and FireRed, I put my GBA in a storage bin.

Then, 5 weeks ago, I bought Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga

After replaying it 3 times in a row (SUCH a good game, by the way), I looked at the best GBA games on IGN, I looked at the all of the guides for GBA Games on this fantastic website, then I went on a GBA shopping spree at 4 local gamestops.

So back to the present. I am now trying to collect every GBA game thats worth collecting (no sports/no shovelware). I now own ALL of the games listed on the IGN and RacketBoy Guides, and now I want to know:

1) Anymore hidden gems out there? If you have your own list of GBA hidden gems, list away! :D
2) Dont just list the super great games that have been repeated counteless times. This is not ReapeatGreatGamesThatEveryoneAlreadyOwnsOrKnowsAbout.com. This is RacketBoy.com :D ! Home of the greatest retrogamers!
3) You know what, even list good medicore games, why not? Like games that are personally good to you, and maybe didn't score too well on review websites.
4) What the hay, go ahead and even list some BAD Good games  . Like, BAD games, but good or ACCEPTABLE to you :D .

Here are the rules
1) See #2 on things I want to know
2) No Barbie Games

Who else thinks the GBA ROX YOUR SOX :D :D :D .

Hey! Secret Agent Barbie was an awesome game! Anyways, Eye of the Beholder was good, they did a nice job porting it to a handheld.
Life is as good as your game!

I second the motion of summoning Noise here. He is the resident Game Boy guru.

did someone call?

Yeah, man I think yr gonna fit in just fine around here. Of course I'm gonna recommend that you check out my blog Game Boy Player Land.

And to get your started here's a handful of my top recommendations that are maybe not just the over-repeated picks:

Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo - this is my favorite puzzle game of all time I think.

Rebelstar Tactical Command - I'm pretty sure this is my favorite Turn Based Strategy game for GBA.

Iridion II - amazing shmup man.

TMNT - if you liked the 16bit/arcade-era Turtles games, get ready to be blown away.

Both Disney games, Donald Duck advance and The Incredibles. Both platformers but fun.
