Tales of Xillia Announced

Post by lisalover1 »

Well, it finally happened; Namco announced their next Tales game, as a PS3 exclusive. It looks quite fun, and it seems to have the same feel as the other games in the series. Too bad non-Japanese speakers will never get the chance to play it.

Why don't North American companies pick rpgs up anymore? I am tired of this bullshit lol

I miss out on a lot of good stuff because companies are too timid about porting RPGs over to the US. WORKING DESIGNS I MISS YOU!!!!

Here's hoping this game sees a western release.

They economy took them out. Atlus ports crappier titles but still survives.
Working Designs actually did good for themselves I think. Quality titles that STILL command high prices and have great replay value.

Didn't the 360 version of Vesperia see a western release?

Didn't Sony pushing them around have something to do with it? I remember hearing about Sony forcing them to release certain games at "budget" prices because Sony deemed the games "inferior", along with just generally giving them trouble when it came to getting games approved.

Yeah, but that was mostly luck. Neither the Wii nor PS3 versions of Graces came over here, as did not the PS3 version of Vesperia, or any of the DS games, none of the PSP ports did, and only one of the PSP exclusive Tales games did. And that's only in THIS generation.
