I think Empire, New Hope, Return, Revenge, Attack, Phantom is pretty much everyone's order of choice.

Also, based on the improvement from 1 to 3, I'd almost like to see a 7-9, just because they might be further improvements.

I put Phantom as my favorite of the prequels. Mostly because it was the last time my older brother and I did things together often - we saw it in the theater together six times. He went to college the year after it came out and then never really came back. I only see him a couple times a year now. So watching it reminds me of the time when I use to hang out with him. Sure Jar Jar is annoying and the podrace was unneeded, but I have good memories attached to it.

But Empire is the best. And Ive got a leg up on the rest of you in that Ive actually touched an ATAT model. The GOmotion ATATs used in the film. I was going to play with Yoda but we couldnt find the key to his display case.

I disagree strongly. My order is:

Empire, Star Wars, Return.

And that's the end of the list.

Has anyone here ever seen any of those fan edits of the Star Wars prequels? I watched a few recently and was surprised at how much they improve when you remove Jar Jar and Anakin being a whiny bitch.

I downloaded the Phantom Edit a while back but I haven't watched it as I have too many other movies that are surely better I own and haven't watched yet.

The first one was called "Phantom Edit". I'm sure it's probably available in your favorite friendly neighborhood torrent listing.
