NFL: Should a losing team go to the play offs?

It makes sense because the Cowboys and Eagles have been rivals for over 25 years, Buddy Ryan vs Jimmy Johnson what about Gibbs Vs Johnson back in the day as well with Redskins vs Cowboys?

Actually I agree, they got smoked by the Browns a few weeks back.. But I don't think there is any denying that they are the best team in the NFL for the first 13 weeks though...
I am just happy the Patriots embarrassed the Jets. I hate the Jets so much, and they are incredibly overrated.

Fixed...

Tell that to Micheal Irvin. The Eagles fans cheering as he broke his neck and was laying motionless one the field is probably the last big defining moment of why those two teams hate each others' guts, regardless of who the players are at the time. Their rivals for sure, maybe not as much as cowboys/redskins, but damn close.

They play each other today, and im sure that even though Dallas has nothing much to play for after the dreadful season they have had, their going to try to ruin Philly's day and playoff seating.

To be fair, these are Philly fans. They booed Santa Claus. They are unique to say the least and I'm sure Michael Irvin's injury isn't the only one they have cheered.

I am from PA, lived here about 1/2 of my life, but when I was getting into football in the late 80s and early 90s (5th-8th grade), I lived in the DFW Metroplex. I saw the 'Boys go from 1-15 to 2X Superbowl champs before I moved back to PA, so I was hooked for life. Hell, I even got to watch them win their third 90s title while going to a high school full of obsessed Steelers fans. Made a killing gambling that day :)

Of course things haven't been so great since.... :(

Anyway, I am a Phillies fan (my first love), a Flyers fan, a Cowboys fan, and a Suns fan (due to the 76ers trading away Barkley).

Ah, im from the Metroplex myself. I've always been amazed that Cowboys fans show up in places like that and in California.

As for this season, well.....At least their competitive again, and beating the Colts is never easy, so that is something to be happy about. I watch every game though, have for more than 15 years. It doesn't matter the record, i dont miss a game unless my dvr messes up.

Getting back on topic.

I think this is a good time for a rule change in this regard, the players union could use it as a bargaining chip that doesn't make them look nearly as greedy.
