Its fun one player, two player, or four player. Three player becomes a fight for the extra Link.

It's fun but you need 4 players for the whole game to be available to play.
Thanks everyone...

Maybe I am. I don't remember but I thought level 2,3 and 4 you had to play multiplayer. :? Shadowbattle was not available in single player or something.

I think this game is at its weakest in 2 player. The game seems as if its about co-operation, but really its competitive. The fun comes from having to co-operate with the other players and then trying to screw each other over. In 2p, you both get two links, so this aspect is mostly removed and it basically becomes a race to see who grabs the big force gems quicker. 3p is more fun because then you start getting people switching alliances and whatnot, and 4p is a giant backstbbing free for all, and possibly my favourite multiplayer game ever.

Either way, I'd suggest that this might not be the game you're looking for. It sounds like your wife isnt a huge gamer, so this might not seem fun to her when you keep winning. Its far more of a vs game than it appears, moreso than a co-op game imo.

It decent with two players but four players makes it so fun.
