What Saturn Joysticks are available?

Post by gennss »

I'd like to know what Saturn sticks are available. I have a stick for my DC and my 360, both of which I like (Agetec and the Hori) I just want one for my Saturn. Even though the Saturn pad is far more forgiving when it comes to thumb damage than the other two systems, it would be cool to have one.

So what sticks can I get that work well on Saturn?

There's some discussion that may help you here: viewtopic.php?f=44&t=24453&st=0&sk=t&sd=a&start=0

I wasn't really happy with any of the Saturn options, so I ended up getting one of these to use with my PS2 HRAP stick -

I own a US Virtua stick and a Hori Fighting stick SS. I like them both, they are both quite different from each other (US and Japanese style, respectively). I use them for shmups and fighters and really don't mind using either.
If you're looking for an affordable option, check out the black US Virtual Fighter stick. I got mine for $15 shipped brand new CIB on eBay

That Japanese Virtua stick looks nice, but you'll be dropping at least a hundred on it if you win it on eBay. I was lucky enough that I had a friend who was going to Japan and picked me up the Hori stick at Super Potato for $15

Agree with dsheinem, about using a PS2 controller. Get a very good PSX arcade stick and use it on different consoles with all the available adapters.

This. Especially if you swap out the ball top and buttons with sanwa.
