PS2 Slim - Solder Modchip Instructions? (CM Pro+ 2.1)

Post by scarper »

I'm looking into getting and modding a PS2 Slim. I looked into the other alternatives and found this to be the one I want. The Slim reads discs better, and is of course, not as heavy as a brick. Having the entire PSX and PS2 library at my disposal was also a neat idea.

I tried to look for instructions on how to install this, but couldn't find any on both modchip.ca or the googles. I apologize in advance if the answer turned out to be clear as day.

This is the chip:

I would email modchip.ca and ask them if they can provide the instructions for selling the chip they sell. I see they have instructions for two PS2 modchips on their site, but not the one you linked.

Get Xeno PS or a modbo 4.0 and use the matrix infinity install diagrams

try using the matrix infinity diagrams for CM Pro, since from what I have read it's a MI clone
PSone, Xbox, PS2, DC, SS Mod Service, PM for details

Wait, that's the old chip with 24 (?) connections. Some one told me there's a newer PS2 chip out that only needs a dozen or so connections.
