My modified Sega Genesis 3

Post by deathred »

Alright, we all know how the Genesis 3 model was somewhat ridiculous, so I went ahead and made a few changes to it.

This project came to be because of all of my free time now that I stopped going to school and cause I couldn't find that stupid Genesis AV Cable!

It's simple, yes I know, but I think its much better now.

And yes, I added a power indicator light, cause this Genesis didn't have one, and I thought it needed one.

Looks great! It's still so funny looking though because of the ridiculous 3. Awesome job though, you did flawless work!

you can always take the 3 off with some light grain sandpaper

Hey, thanks for the comments.

Snowkitty: I'm interested in a Jap/US switch, but most importantly, the pinouts for RGB on the board. I know where they are on the DIN cable, but not on the board. If you do know, please share.

Integrity: Thanks, and yes... that 3 is horrid looking. I'm thinking about sanding it down, like Snowkitty said, or maybe just doing a whole paint job.

I'm not sure if sandpaper will do the trick without serious damage to the look of the case. Very nice though, I use a Genny 3 and I think I might do the same to mine.

very cool indeed! i really like my genesis 3, i bought mine premodded with a us/jp switch but i hate how it doesn't output stereo sound or have sega cd support. but i think for the size it's a great console and you've just made it that much better! kudos to you 8)
