Nickleback!

Post by Breetai »

I've seen them twice. Once in 1999 and again in 2002.

In 1999 I saw them in a small bar (before they signed their first big deal) and had a chance to sit down with them along with some of my friends, who were helping to pay their bill through my university. They were pretty chilled out guys then.

Not my favourite band by a long shot, but they are a decent rock band overall. Their first album rocked quite a bit, but they have too many ballads on their other ones. My wife really likes them. I say "meh". They're listenable. I give them a mild thumbs up.

If anyone says "seriously die", like Chupon might, I will kick you in the nuts! Just like Cartman would.

perhaps a (non gaming)music thread is more suitable for conversations like this. We don't need a thread for every musician/band out there. Just saying.

This is the best thing Nickleback has done, ever.

And their songwriting skills are so diverse it's amazing.

Ok, if you think they're ok, that's fine. I'm sure you'd hate some of my music or think a lot of it sounds the same. But I shall pass. :P

man Portugal that was harsh (but funny as hell)

I only know 1 of their songs (This is how you remind me), so I didn't know they sucked THAT much

Hey Ivo, can you translate what the news reporter is saying in this video?

People shit on Nickelback all the time...myself included. But most of the time I think people just over analyze what they do. To me, they make decent music to drive to when you're not really wanting to think.

I don't get the hate for the band. I don't think they're awesome or legendary but I definitely like some of their singles I've heard.
