Guilty Gear X really takes advantage of the VGA cable...on a monitor or hdtv it looks awesome. I just got it a month ago myself and it blew me away. Very crisp and detailed. I haven't seen anything on the DC that matches it, although it may be unfair to compare it with other kinds of games. Even so many years after its release it still looks like it was made yesterday and it set the standard for the newer Guilty Gear games.

Of course, apart from the great graphics, it happens to be one of the finest fighting engines ever...easily in the top tier.

As far as I know Guilty Gear remains unrivalled in terms of high(er) definition sprite based graphics. That is until Street Fighter 2 HD Remix comes out as the sprites in that game will be in high definition. Although the animation hasn't been updated.

Its pretty disappointing that Guilty Gear is the only great 480 resolution sprite fighter out there. I don't think that there are any others, although could be wrong.
