Sega Dreameye, what is it used for?

Post by Scooter »

Is it just a webcam to be used via the Dreamcast's modem/BBA or just a camera or is it associated with any games like the PS2/3 cameras? Can it be used with a North American Dreamcast?

The Dreameye is a webcam/camera for the Dreamast. The actual camera is battery powered and it's connected through a cable that is attached to a card that goes in a vmu slot (for the headset) and it's plugged into a controller port. No games ever came out that used it, you could only use it with the software that came with it. With the software I think you could have video conferences with other people who have the Dreameye and you could also take pictures and send them via email.
