The only way to play. That or be a Khajiit.

@Everyone:

I'm not sure if everybody knows but Daggerfall and Arena used to be free on Bethesda's website. I've searched for links but I can't find them anymore. I don't know if they still offer the download or not. :?

Thanks for finding the links.
I think you have to use dosbox to run it on current operating systems.

I'm excited about this. The standard "green hills and forests" thing for fantasy is so overdone. I'm looking forward to a nice arctic region. One of my favorite things about Morrowind was how the geography was so different from anything else I'm used to in fantasy.

There's a source port for DaggerFall in the works.

I can't wait until the Elder Scrolls XXV when we can finally take a space shuttle to one of the other planets in the solar system that you see in the night sky.

I'm also hoping this'll be more in line with Daggerfall and Morrowind
Oblivion is way, way, way too casual

considering how one can follow the progress of Bethesda truly butchering the skills from Daggerfall->Oblivion (who the funk thought up the idea of axes being blunt weapons? and where's mah spears!?!??!?)

on that note, I just traded 2 gamecube games for Daggerfall

and 'tis as beautiful as ever

...and crossbows, and throwing stars, and throwing knives, and levitation spells, and everything else that was cool.

And what happened to the acrobatics skill?! I liked jumping 30 feet in the air.

I was going to start Morrowind over the break, so now I have a deadline so I can get ready for Skyrim. What race-sign combos should I go with? I've tried asking elsewhere, but only got troll answers like High Elf+ The Apprentice
