Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

I'm shocked there hasn't been a thread about this yet! The game was announced during the VGA's along with Mass Effect 3. Here's the announcement teaser:

This is easily my most anticipated game ever, just like Oblivion was before it came out.

I have never played Daggerfall, but I also hope it more Morrowind like.

Apparently though, Skyrim is a shit continent. It's very cold and snowy. Which means this game may not be colorful like Oblivion was which would be VERY disappointing. I was hoping that TES V would be set in Summerset Isles, Elsweyr, or Valenwood. Basically somewhere warm with a lot of forest or jungles. Summerset Isles would have been like tropical.

I don't remember where I read this or if it's true but apparently somebody who works for Bethesda - I think a community manager or something - tweeted that it will be using a new game engine so that has me pretty pumped. Not that there is anything really wrong with the current engine but it will be nice to see something fresh and new. I'm stoked, I'm running around with $50 trying to find someone to give it to to pre-order it.

Actually, I prefer it this way. Solstheim was my favorite place in all of Morrowind, and I found myself wandering the frozen northern mountains of Cyrodiil more than anywhere else. I don't want nansypansy elves talking politics in the jungle heat, I want horned helms and enormous beards soaked through with mead while I take a crude-looking axe upside somebody's skull. Hell yes it's set in Skyrim.

And if you haven't guessed, I play Nords quite often.
