I BEAT GEESE HOWARD!

Ahem, sorry. I'm just proud of myself. I've always heard the final boss of Fatal Fury was a nightmare, and SNK has a tradition of creating final bosses whose sole purpose is to make honest gamers cry. So admittedly I cheesed the hell out of the game. I played through most of it as Joe, and then switched to Terry after Raiden kicked my ass.

I decided to play this after beating Primal Rage earlier today because I wanted to remove the bad taste from my mouth. I'd forgotten Fatal Fury is only 3 buttons, including throw...that lead to me getting stomped a few times before I got the hang of who I wanted to play. But by the end of it, any time Geese started to pull off his Violent Wave(you can tell from the sound effect), which he did incessantly, if I was close enough, I'd Burning Knuckle into him. It caught him enough times to win...the second round. The first round, I won, but he still beat me like a redheaded stepchild.

Ack, if your beating games so quickly, hold off on posting them till you have 3 or 4 to post. Just makes the thread a little easier to navigate I think.

mercs has two game play options: arcade and original. so far i have just beaten arcade mode. this is one of those games where you progress a a little bit farther with each game play. it is perfect to play and get your ass kicked, walk away from the system for an hour or so, and come back and try again. arcade mode is pretty damn short; maybe 6 or 7 levels. overall, i thought the game was awesome.
if you took a shit, please put it back
