Total size of Steam games?

Since I've been driven partially insane by final exams, I did a little experiment. Checking how much disc space Steam said each game would take when I hit Install, adding those together, and then adding the size of my current Steam folder, I tried to figure out exactly how much space would be taken up if I installed every one of my Steam games onto the same computer. This may be slightly inaccurate, since I'm sure some games require other games, which may account for some of the required disc space, but I calculated my total to be 191.8 gigs.

Holy shit.

Then I realize I haven't finished even a fraction of these games, and the constant sales have put me on the backlog to end all backlogs.

Get to playing! To be honest though, my backlog is pretty sad lately too. And I even sold about 20% of my collection.

My folder is 147GB. I know what you mean about the sales! You really can't pass some of those up.

Also, I remember someone on here talking about their steam collection and having around 200 games. I can't imagine how big that folder would be if all of those we're installed.

Yeah, mine is 112, and that big. 200 would be insane.

Pfft, that's only a little over 1.7 gigs per game on average.

I only have 24 of my 38 games and mods in my Steam list installed and my folder is 84.9 gigs for an average of a little over 3.5 gigs per game. What sort of wussy ass games have you got installed?

I checked and the other 14 games and mods would only be 19.9 gigs since a lot are older expansions and things so that would lower my average too. But I'd still be over 100 gigs for only 1/3 the games. you must have a lot of smaller mods, or older and indie games.

A good chunk are older games (Deus Ex, X-COM) or Indie games (especially from the indie packs that came out recently). So yeah.

EDIT: I also haven't messed with mods. May add a few for Dragon Age once I get around to beating it normally.

My Steam folder is around probably 20 GB at most I'll have to check. I haven't downloaded much on Steam in a while.
