Does the filter effect GB/GBC titles, when I flick through them I can never tell the difference.
to be honest, I never really notice a difference either.
What I have noticed is that the filter only really affects movement. I was playing Wario Land:Super Mario Land 3 and the soft filter was obnoxious. For the most part I too couldn't tell the difference.

Farm it out to one of the modders on the site - they'd probably be down for a challenge.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

No one on here would be willing to do this. Decoding the display matrix the gameboy outputs will not be fun. Nor will it be easy. Not to mention the video timing etc etc etc.

In short, it's possible, but will take a lot of hardware and skill.

The Soft/Sharp filter on GB Player is interframe blending. It's for things like shadows that use flickering for semi-transparency and other special effects that make use of the LCD's latency/blurring.

That said, I'd probably still play them on the actual handheld more.
Remember the NGPC PMS mod? I'm still curious about how they got Turbo, specifically how they did their breadboard and if they needed one for each button.
My scheduling skills have died of dysentery; I hope to visit at least on a monthly basis.
Still, don't forget to tip your waitress.
