There's gonna be a PCB for sale -- he's thinking of ditching VGA for composite (ugh) let em know that you want VGA support!

that's pretty cool, but I'm not sure the point? I mean the GBPlayer can do component or VGA (with VGA box) already and has compatibility with GBC and GBA as well.

I dunno about you, but I absolutely HATE the border and blurred image from the GBA player.

I guess you don't know about me.

I use the gray border, which isn't even noticeable to me. And "blurred image"? I'm not even sure what you mean.

But again, a VGA out from an original GB is novel, but will not support GBC or GBA.

I play on LCD monitors through an XRGB3 and like my pixels fairly sharp. And without borders. The GBA player enables bilinear filtering or something. If you can't see it then...

This board's aimed mostly as chiptune artists who use the GB for music creation. There's a color version in the works, and I think he's considering the GBA, which would be the ideal choice for us gamers. :)

eh personally the border doesn't bother me. I have one GBP hooked up to a VGA monitor, and the other I have component cables for my LCD. Neither feel blurry to me. Guess it's a matter of taste.

Hard to be bothered by the border. Even with a border ( I set mine to black ) the image is still way larger than the alternative.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

agreed. To be honest, I don't even NOTICE the border.

I'd be more interested in someone coming up with a way for me to play my NGPC on a tv. Or a game gear or wonderswan.

That said, I'd probably still play them on the actual handheld more.

I'm honestly not sure how you can play a GB game on TV/monitor without some kind of border due to aspect ratio.
