Anyone else play Phantasy Star Zero?
Anyone else play Phantasy Star Zero?
Any PS0 players here?
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?
Re: Anyone else play Phantasy Star Zero?
I did for about 3 or for 4 hours. I tried to play online but it lacking a little. I can't get DS on line with my Imac, I use be able. Its hard to configure it now then it was before, new wireless router. People were stealing my wifi connection until I lock it in.

Yeah, that really sucks about the WEP protocol that the NDS use. Too bad they didn't use a different one or provide the ability to upgrade it.benderx wrote:People were stealing my wifi connection until I lock it in.
I have a second router that has WEP and I only turn it on for short periods of time when I want to connect with my DS.

I used to. Got up to level 50 with a hunter HUnewm. Very fun but kinda shallow. Wish there were quests like Phantasy Star Online and didn't have to disconnect after every match. Awesome game. If enought people want to start playing I might be up for a round or two. Friend Code 1892 1265 1385.
Anyone still play the GameCube Phantasy Star Online? I think we should start a PSO clan lol.

I leave both wireless routers unlocked, so when anyone brings a laptop or portable over they can easy Wifi access. Not worried about a hacker since my combined routers can only send a signal a house or two away. If a problem, you could always shut off the router when not in use. The random on off cycles will encourage the cheap bastard to buy their own internet.benderx wrote:I did for about 3 or for 4 hours. I tried to play online but it lacking a little. You would be surprised who would leach off a signal. My friend did it to his neighbor for 2 years (this is a suburban neighborhood where each house had 2 acres). He even got access to the admin panel and tweaked it as he saw fit. The neighbor was totally clueless.
Re: Anyone else play Phantasy Star Zero?
I have PS0 and have played 3 characters (and races) to about level 30 each. Neat game! I've only gone online a half dozen times and during each was connected with Asian players who disconnected after less than 2 minutes of combat. Probably 'cuz I suck.
Not having played PSO, PS0 isn't bolstered by nostalgia, yet it's remained in my collection after many more highly graded games have been eBay'd (or Amazon Trade In'd... ya'll know they sometimes give GOOFY high credit?). Some couple points I like about PS0: pretty simple gameplay, some great environment (the wetlands are - I think - some of the best on the DS), fun little "anime" flavored storyline tweaked for each race, the rhythm-based attack per weapon which is something I haven't played another game with prior.
