What was the last movie you've seen?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

So to recap Luke's last three posts:

1) Wolverine now fights with his skeleton on the outside.

2) The new Superman will suck now. Of course, that was pretty much a given.

3) I may need to see Thor, but it's still not as important to me as Captain America.

^^^I've got high hopes for both Thor and Captain America.

Anyways, watched Predators today. Of course I'm a huge fan of the first 2. I thought Predators was a very worthy addition. Excellent old school action movie.

Finally got a chance to watch Joint Security Area (JSA) by Park Chan-Wook last night. This was an incredible film. I can't recommend it enough.

Scott Pilgrim vs The World: I've finally gotten around to watching all the commentary tracks on the DVD. I love Edgar Wright and listening to just what went into each shot was extremely entertaining and informative.

Shaun of The Dead: Speaking of Edgar Wright, I just had to watch this again. It cracks me up every time, especially during the mundane, yet action packed "suit up" scenes.

Chronicles of Narnia: Dawn Treader. It was pretty good in 3d.

Scott Pilgrim - waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay overrated. It was neat visually and all the old-school gaming references were cool but still was way overrated. I even went in expecting nothing. :(

Way outta left filed but... Edgar Wright is a fan of Phantom of the Paradise.

If you don't know what it is... YOU SUCK BIG TIME!!!!!

Aside from being way better than Rocky Horror (I'm a RHPS fan, FYI), it's really cool. It's a dark-humored comedy horror musical from '74, with music by Paul "Rainbow Connection" Williams, directed by Brian DePalma, and is the film debut of Jessica Harper (whose husband is Fox chairman Tom Rothman, another PotP fan).

The plot is basically a 1970s take on Phantom of the Opera spliced with elements of Faust, The Picture of Dorian Grey (which, like Faust, employs deals with Sarah Pali--I mean Satan), and also Frankenstein and The Hunchback of Notre Dame.

Here's the trailer
