This thread is more about last must plays and final farewells before it's going in the attic.

As far as I'm concerned it is time to move on a lot of the games have updates to their franchises to them on other consoles and even compilations.
If worse comes to worse and I decided that I must play a game from the PS2 library I could always pull it back out of the attic.
Probably not a good idea to store in a non climate control location. The winter condensation and summer heat will wipe out the discs and hardware. Bugs will have a feast in the manuals.

Another not perfect but better then the attic option
Get a couple of disc binders. Put empty cases in the attic and store the space saving binders in a better climate controlled place.

Thanks for the advice but I have had a loft conversion done it's same as any other bedroom now :)

I'm going to go with Dragon Quest VIII, Godhand, Gradius V, Odin Sphere, Okami, Persona 3 and 4, Radiata Stories, Zone of the Enders the Second Runner and obviously God of War I, II, and the Prince of Persia Trilogy for PS2.

For PS1 - Xenagears, Suikoden I and II, Resident Evil(s), Lunar (both) and Final Fantasy VII, VIII and VIII.

There, that ought to fill up your next 5 years.

1) Silent Hill >>> US version only : skinned children with knives are creepier than generic monsters with claws.
2) Castlevania SOTN >>> Pure classic gameplay.
3) Valkyrie Profile >>> Beautiful graphics/music/story, refreshingly different.
4) Suikoden >>> Stick with it and it will grow on you.
5) Loaded >>> Pure blasting fun !!!

Kinda hard to give a top 5 for a console that has so many great games though. I suggest you get the console out every once in a while instead of trying to force yourself to play a few now, just to wave the console goodbye after that. There's nothing wrong with revisiting an old console every once in a while...

And do yourself a favour, stick to one game and one game only once you start playing. You will enjoy it much more that way. I know it can be tempting to "just have a quick peek" at another game, but try not to...
Thanks that's what I'm doing now I'm playing one game at a time and possibly a mobile console game when I'm out and about.

I used to do that naturally in the old days I would stick to one game.

putting them away will be a big mistake in any way!

there are so many great games on both platforms, everytime you think you're done you'll discover new gems

Team Buddies did have a NTSC release, quite rare but not impossible to find :)

It depends who you are to be honest I have a lot less time to play games.
So I end up hoarding the games instead of playing them.
It's not problem for me to just unpack them if I want to play something but since moving my 360 into my room I'm playing the PS2 a lot less.

Main thing is you can't play everything all at once and then it's just a waste being there because it doesn't get used and takes up space.
When I was a kid I wasn't even allowed to keep a console out it out I had to packed away after use.
Only had 2 consoles 1 Super Nes and 1 Gameboy and just a handful of games.
Also only one Tv to play them on.

Anyways from my point of view I think I lost the plot hoarding / collecting games instead of playing them which is supposed to be what they are for.
It's got to the extent that a lot of the games in my collections are just compilations of other games I was fond of back when I actually used to play a lot of games.
I don't really think I've played and completed a lot of games not since the Sega Saturn / PS1 days.
The funny thing being even the games I do actually play today are still the old ones I used to play. Like Street Fighter 2, Street Fighter Alpha, Mario Bros, and Zelda.

Bottom line is that it's time to move on and get back to basics or at least that's how I see it =)
