What are you thankful for this Year?

thankful that my girl and I got back together, after seperating (been together for 9 years)

and the fact that I survived a wild night on the town, where I was drunk off mah ass going to climb a church-roof (I ended up with a crack in my foot, that acts up everytime it rains)

Thankful for having a reliable job, for meeting some new family, for having some things happening in my love life very recently, for losing some weight this year, for getting to play some cool games like Sly Collection, Lara Croft:Guardian of Light and Enslaved. I'm thankful for my cool boss surprising us with gift cards yesterday. I'm thankful for free food at work today(pizza, cubans, wings and snack trays). I'm thankful for being satisfied with my spiritual outlook on life. No more soul searching. I'm thankful for great movies I got to see this year(Scott Pilgrim, Batman:Under the Red Hood, District 9), great tv shows I got into(Nikita,Supernatural)and great new music I discovered(Delain). I'm thankful for life always surprising me, which keeps my cynicism under control and keeps me from getting too jaded. I'm thankful for my pets, even though they can be a real pain in the ass

So yeah, the only thing I can be thankful about are my 2 little females Diva and Detje. They are always friendly and never judge me. Something that can't be said about most humans...

As you said, you have 2 lovely ladies to keep you company at least. That's something and hopefully you make progress on everything else.

I would add that I know happy and successful people who have had periods in their life where they felt like their lives couldn't get any worse. Sometimes you have to be patient and hopeful. Sometimes you have to go through a lot of shit before things finally go your way in life. Just keep appreciating the little things(like your pets)and do the best you can. Hopefully things will take a turn for the better soon

awesome family, awesome friends, i have my health (but that will be compromised tonight with ingestion of alcohol), nobody in family is out of work, etc.

I'm thankful my girlfriend loves me and doesn't consider me a failure despite the fact that I've lost my job and we can't even afford to get the heat turned on in our apartment this winter, so she and I spend each night wrapped up in blankets next to a space heater.

I hope I get a job soon.
