I had to say A New Hope because of the emotional connection I had watching the movie as a child. I watched all of them, but I vividly remember watching A New Hope younger than I was when I vividly remember watching Empire and Return.

I feel kind of ashamed of having never watched any Star Wars movie. I don't really like science fiction, but it does make me feel bad.

Re: Best Star Wars Movie
I voted A New Hope, mainly because that is the one that I remember watching the most when I was little. However, I know I'm going to get flack for this, but I liked all six. I was only eight when The Phantom Menace came out, and seeing a new Star Wars movie in the actual theater was a mind-blowing experience for me (I had seen the "remastered" versions when they were being re-released in theaters before that, but I also had those on VHS, so it wasn't as cool). I liked the pointless podracing scene. I liked Darth Maul's ridiculous double lightsaber. I thought Jar-Jar was hilarious. Even looking back and realizing it wasn't that great, I can't bring myself to full-on hate it. Same goes for Attack of the Clones (which is the only one I'd say I'm closest to "disliking"), and Revenge of the Sith.

There's alot of sci-fi that bores me to death.... I think Star Wars is better described as "space opera", mixed with a dash of western and old timey serial. Go watch the original trilogy, NOW.I feel kind of ashamed of having never watched any Star Wars movie. I don't really like science fiction, but it does make me feel bad.

They are overrated. Good movies for their time, fun movies to pass the time, but overall I've seen much better and more believable fantasy worlds. (by more believable I mean better defined)
The only reason I love Star Wars is that it gave as the Knights of the Old Republic. The Star Wars story written by actual writers, and not an idiot.
If you are going to watch them, be warned that the Empire Strikes Back is by faaaaaaar the best film in the series, so after that you'll only be disappointed with the rest. I really think that 50% of Star War's popularity is because of this film. The other 50% is Darth Vader and the Lightsabers.
