SEGA CD Lens Problems

Hi Friends,

Well i hope some one can help me.

I have problems with my sega cd the system not read games just music cds.

There is some where a tutorial to calibrate the lens o someone know how to fix this?

I really hope fix my sega cd (Any info is welcome).

I would love information on this also.. I have a JVC X'Eye and its doing the same thing. I hear the laser going back and forth and trying to read it.

My Multi-Mega has disc reading issues as well for some games. Th discs stuggle to spin, so it might be a problem with the spindle drive on mine.

Well my problem is with a JVC X'Eye too.

The dis spin but just play audio music i hope someone can help.

You may have to actually replace the CD pickup unit. If you can find what model it is you can go to electronix.com and buy it.

Thanks for the Replys.

I been searching for info and i find that the X`Eye has a common problem with lid close switch. I keep trying to fix it and i tell you how is going.

If you want to try and replace the laser you can buy a new one fairly easily. You have to get a OPTIMA6S laser pickup. You can buy one here http://jr.partsearch.com/Part/Matsushit ... er=RGM10BU but you can probably find one a little cheaper if you look.
