stuck pixel..

Post by laneyj »

I just got a new monitor (bought it online)...anyway when I turned it on I noticed it had a stuck pixel (blue) on the bottom of the screen..needless to say it's very small but it still is an annoyance..does anyone know how to get rid of these ..I already tried udpixel to no avail, so any advice is definitely appreciated.

If you flash blank images of black and white back and forth it may go back. If it has a soft panel you can rub it to see if it will fix itself. and if it's an oled moniter it's dead.
When the moniter I bought had a stuck pixel that's what the tech guy did to try and make sure it was actually dead. A friend suggested the black and white colour flashing.

ok thanks for the insight....I have an LCD LED monitor (LED backlight)...so can I put that in the same category as an OLED meaning I have a dead pixel?

I'm not actually sure, although if neither of the other two work, I assume there is little you can do in terms of fixing it. Hopefully you can exchange it or something?
