I love this site.

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

Friends can get into arguments, that's fine. Most of use are adults about it, and don't hold a grudge. I've gotten into arguments with members before, no big deal.

Come on guys let's not mess this up. I've given up on 4 forums were I had over 300 posts each, in the last 5-6 years. I don't want to give up this place as well. It has some of the nicest guys around the web. So we disagree about something. We don't have to fight with insults and stuff. Let's just debate about it politely.
it comes and goes. don't worry about it, it'll go away eventually. probably around march. then it usually picks up around august again. you'll see.

Don't let a couple of bad apples ruin the whole basket. Put them on your foe list. Thats what I've done in the past. Don't feed them and eventually they go away, much like a stray animal.

What does putting people in your foe list do? I've never used the friends/foe option.

Friends list just makes it convenient to send them a PM since they're listed in your control panel.

Foe makes it so that any posts from that person are collapsed in discussions. They're replaced with a link to open to read them if you still want to and of course if someone quotes them you'll still see it. But it helps you ignore their inane ramblings. Not sure if it blocks PMs too.

I know we have our digital download haters here, but there's something to be said for the larger audience these services create. I would probably not go out and try to collect these second generation games but because I can sit on my couch and download them instantly, I'm now into them.

Also, awesome to see all the positive feedback!
Yeah. I'm a supporter of any avenue that gives today's gamers legal access to older/classic/obscure games. I hate how gaming history is so often locked away in dead technologies or only accessible to people who know how to work squirrely illegal software. Don't get me wrong - I love collecting old carts and consoles, but one shouldn't HAVE to do that in order to check out old games. Nearly every album or movie worth anything is on DVD - we should roll games over to the newest tech the same way. (sorry if this is a derailer!)

Mario is better than sonic and I hate you. My dad, who works at nintendo, told me so, so there.
