Yes, there damn well is. I want to play it with light gun support (or motion controlled simulation thereof) like on the Saturn version.

Like Serious Sam's heavy metal little brother, Painkiller offers a more arcade-style FPS experience than other games in the genre.

I've only played the Xbox version, but it's not 360 compatible, which is bullshit. And I'm also starting to get the idea that Microsoft has NO plans to add 360 compatibility for any other Xbox games (this and Tron 2.0 Killer App are currently on my list).

But I digress.

This game would be perfect for the current batch of consoles.

I can see the first game ported to 360 and PS3 as DL games and the Wii as a disc release.

I can also see new games for all three consoles, as well as the PSP, DS and upcoming 3DS.
Actually they have continued making Painkiller games, they're just PC-only. I don't believe Painkiller: Hell Wars did very well on the Xbox, hence why they've avoided consoles since then.

Anyway, I still want a new Killer Instinct game.

From the top of my head:

X-COM: It has a lot of comeback potential and would benefit from better technology. Unfortunatedly they are being stupid and going to release a FPS based on it.

Railroad Tycoon: Sid Meier's Railroads had a lot of good idea but the base of the game was bland and outdated compared to the deep Railroad Tycoon 3.

Spy Hunter: This game has an awful lot of potential but unfortunatedly the mediocre "sequels" made some time ago did not atp the full potential of the game. An arcade-like sequel that adds more variety to the original would be awesome.

OutRun: It has been a while since we got the last game, we want our dose of amazing level design!

I also very much agree with SimTower. Do you know that there were some sequels in Japan and they even got a DS release there?

A lot of you reminded me of a few I've missed:

Image

For one, port the old games to PSN, XBLA, and Wii.

For another, we need a new game. I mean, JJ's owned by the same company that owns the Unreal Engine, so a new game, be it a third-person game (a la Gears of War) or a side-scroller, would be too easy.

And the DS and PSP? Easy.

And don't even get me started on the 3DS.

Next one:

I agree that the Wii's controls would be a great fit, but I also say that the PS3 and Xbox 360 (either controller-based or even a PS Move/Kinectic-based setup) would be good, too. In fact, I also say that the PSN and XBLA needs the original game, and maybe the sequel. But definitely Saga. And include a Panzer Dragoon Orta port with the PD Wii game.

And the DS, PSP, and 3DS can't be left out, either. Maybe the iPad.

We need computer RPGs, though the iOS have a couple of good ones, like The Quest and Undercroft (which is now free).

But we need more like this.

Like the old-school games. Travel the world, tracking down Carmen and her VILE henchmen, and so on. This would be a good fit for portables, iPhone family (iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad), Android, et al.

I think we all know how to do this.

'Nuff said.

Also, remake Resident Evil 0-3 with the RE5 engine.

And bring us the first two Shin Megami Tensei games, unedited and uncensored.

It was co-created by Gears of War's Cliff Bleszinski (aka Cliffy B). I believe he's said at some point in the last couple years that he wants to do a new sequel, but after the commercial failure of JJ2 and JJ GBA he can't get anyone interested in funding it.
