Put Captain Solo in the cargo hold

Post by MrPopo »

So last night was the Child's Play Charity Auction and like previous years I got some pretty bitchin stuff.

First, I got a wampa rug and a tauntaun sleeping bag:

Next, a poster custom made for the auction that depicts the history of FPS weapons through 2000:

And finally, the crowning piece:

Unfortunately he is front heavy, so right now he's leaning against the bookcase to keep from tipping forward. When I get a house next year I can attach a bracket to the inside (the interior is hollow) and secure that to the wall.

What the hell? I want Han Solo frozen in carbonite. That's nuts!

Very cool stuff. Now to attach some hover jets so you can use it at a floating coffee table.

Is the carbonite Han Solo real or a replica? If it's the former... just I have no words... Seriously... ... ... ... ...

It's only a replica, but it's a really well done replica. I was really torn on bidding on that vs. the Portal gun, but then at dinner I heard that someone was going to be proxy bidding for the CEO of Blizzard so that made my decision for me.

I don't have any more pictures of the FPS poster. It's approximately 6.5 ft x 3 ft. I don't really have a place to hang it in my currrent place but I'm moving to a house sometime early next year. What's really awesome is it was custom made for Child's Play, so it's the only one of it's kind.

Crap, that really needs to be digitized with a good camera (hint), a nice wallpaper.
